TAIYAKI FURUSATO
Taiyaki is a fish-shaped pancake filled with bean jam. Nostalgic stores and houses stand on the car-free Nawate street. In the center of Nawate street, Taiyaki Furusato is open next to the Frog Daimyojin (the temple where the deity is enshrined).

Why is FURUSATO’s TAIYAKI delicious?
Generally, Taiyaki is made by multiple fish-shaped mold at the same time. At FURUSATO, we use traditional Ippon-yaki (single mold) method instead and make Taiyaki one by one. FURUSATO’s Taiyaki’s unique thin crust and blocked ANKO paste are made possible by the the unique Ippon-yaki mold.
